Neck Massager Sample Inspection Checklist for Buyers

A neck massager sample tells you more in thirty minutes than any specification sheet. Because the product sits against the neck and throat, the checks that matter most are fit across different users, skin-contact materials, control clarity and the behavior of heating where fitted. This checklist turns those observations into a repeatable record you can send back to the supplier — and use as acceptance criteria for production.

Run the same checklist on every sample you compare, under the same conditions, and record settings and results for each item.

For wearable models (WY-062226, WY-095008), also test the adjustment system — adjustable intensity settings and the adjustable neck girth — at both ends of its range.

Massage and control checks

  • Mechanism behavior: Watch and film the kneading action — 3D movement (WY-064315), bionic-finger structure (WY-065001), hand-simulated kneading (WY-062226) or vibration kneading (WY-Z10A). Confirm the movement matches the description you plan to publish.
  • Gear changes: Step through every gear. Note whether adjacent settings feel distinct and whether labels match the manual.
  • Session timing: Run a full session and confirm automatic stop at the listed time (10 minutes on WY-Z10A).
  • Coverage: Check whether the massage reaches the zones your retail copy will claim — neck only, or neck and shoulder.

Heating checks (models with hot compress)

WY-Z10A lists two hot compress levels of 42–45°C. During sampling:

1. Measure the warm-up time to each level with a surface thermometer, at the contact point.

2. Record the temperature stability over a 10-minute session.

3. Compare with the listed values and ask the supplier for the measurement method and tolerance behind them.

Listed values are settings, not verified surface-temperature results — your measurements and the supplier's method together form the basis for any temperature claims in retail copy.

Power and charging checks

  • Rechargeable models: Charge from empty with the supplied cable, record charging time, and run the unit until stop under the same settings each cycle to build a comparable runtime figure. WY-064315 charges over USB Type-C at 1.4 A — verify the supplied cable and any adapter.
  • Controls: Test every button and switch for labeling, feedback and accidental-press behavior while worn.

Noise and household-use checks

Run the unit on its highest gear in a quiet room and note the sound character — the noise level your customers will notice is subjective, but your recording of it is a useful reference for retail copy and for the supplier's feedback.

Turning the results into supplier feedback

Send the completed checklist to Relanovo with photos or video for any item that failed. Agree acceptance criteria in writing before production, keep the approved sample, and re-check any changed item on a later approval sample.

Common sample questions

How many samples should I request?

Two of the same model — one for testing to destruction of patience, one kept as the sealed reference — plus any second model you are comparing.

Who performs the inspection?

Your team for user-experience items; a third-party inspector for packaging, labeling and electrical items if your channel requires it.

What if a check fails?

Record the item, the setting and the conditions. Ask whether it is a configuration difference or a defect — configuration differences change the order specification; defects change the production QC plan.
