OEM Back Massagers: Branding, Accessories and Approvals

A private label back massager project should start with a defined model, a clear branding brief and a list of changes to the standard configuration. Relanovo's product list marks OEM/ODM cooperation as available for all four back massagers. The specific options, minimum quantities, charges and schedule depend on the model and the changes requested.

Back massagers carry two customization considerations most categories do not: power accessories (a vehicle model needs the right plug and adapter set for your market) and package weight (heavier cartons make packaging changes more consequential for freight).

Define what you mean by OEM and ODM

These terms are used differently across suppliers, so describe the actual work required. A private label project may use an existing model with agreed branding and packaging. A broader development project may involve changes to appearance, tooling, electronics or operation. Each requires its own feasibility review and approval scope. Ask us to confirm the available options for your chosen model.

Organize the project by the changes required

Supply editable artwork and identify the brand owner or authorized artwork contact. Avoid placing compliance marks or performance claims into packaging before the supporting scope has been confirmed.

Confirm MOQ at the customization level

The current product list shows 100 pieces for HT-C03, 200 pieces for HT-CF-2309A and WY-CD8-F, and 500 pieces for WY-C43. Use these as listed starting quantities. They do not establish the minimum for a custom color, newly printed packaging or a changed component. Ask for the quantity requirement by model, color and packaging version, and request separate line items when considering two models.

Follow a documented approval sequence

Begin with a brief that defines the model, market, quantity and intended changes. Ask for a feasibility response and a quotation that identifies what is included. Once the scope is agreed, review artwork and a physical sample appropriate to the project — for cushions and mattresses, that includes fabric, stitching and structural elements, not only a print proof. A packaging proof does not approve the product's function, and a standard functional sample does not approve the final branding.

Record the approved sample, artwork version and specification before production. When a later change is requested, identify its effect on cost, schedule and the documents used for approval.

Keep power, heating and traction descriptions aligned with changes

WY-C43's confirmed cervical traction function, its 45°C ± 2° heating plate and WY-CD8-F's three-level hot compress are features whose descriptions must match the exact configuration ordered. A change in electronics, heating, battery or supplied accessory may require a fresh review of the supporting documentation. Ask which parts of the existing file remain applicable and what additional work is needed, and make sure the approved manual describes the exact configuration being supplied.

Build the schedule around the actual scope

Ask for separate estimates for sample preparation, artwork approval, material purchasing, production and shipment. In this category, freight planning deserves extra time: packaged units weigh between 2.5 kg and 10.8 kg. Share the date you need the goods at your warehouse, then ask for a project schedule that works backward from that requirement.

Common private label questions

Can I add my logo to an existing model?

Yes. Send the selected model and artwork so the available position, method, quantity and charges can be confirmed.

Can I change the heating or traction program?

Describe the required behavior and ask for a technical review. Do not assume a functional change is included in a standard branding order or available across all four models.

Will heavier packaging change my landed cost?

It can. This category's packaged units are heavier and larger than handheld massagers. Request the final packaging data and obtain a freight quotation for that version before completing your cost estimate.

Send your private label brief

Tell Relanovo your selected model, target market, planned quantity and preferred delivery date. Attach the logo and list the changes you need, including the power accessories for your market. Request an itemized proposal covering the available options, sample work and project schedule.
